The Glengarry developed out of the traditional Scottish Bonnet, akin to the Balmoral, Tam o’ Shanter or Kilmarnock, but with the significant difference in that it could be folded. In military units, this meant that the bonnet could be carried under the epaulettes when not being worn. Emerging from the Glengarry Fencibles, who cocked their bonnets into a point, the Glengarry in its modern form appeared by the 1840s.
We provide premium quality black wool glengarries to pipe bands worldwide. The glengarry come complete with red toorie (bobble). Cap badges can be purchased separately.
The diced Glengarry is a discontinued line, so only available in limited numbers in certain sizes.
